At long last the CTNEWMAN ENGINEERING rotisserie is ready for release.
Designed to be economical and upgradable it has a host of features intended to make your frame fabrication projects easier and better.
All kits are the same, but are designed to use upgrades purchased from other vendors and can be added at any time.
List of features:
- height adjustable: manual (requires some muscle) or assisted (using optional rams). Locks in any position. Height change range 24”
- angle adjustable and locks into position every ~10 degrees. Easy crank option makes this process effortless. Crank can be disabled without removing for quick manual positioning
- work surface option: convert your entire fixture into a workbench (44” height) when not in use. Doubles as a work surface when using in jig mode as well. Includes a lock plate to eliminate any wobble
- length adjustable for different frame configurations
- minimal modification to frame jig: you will have to weld 3 small plates to the neck upright of your jig. They will not affect the use of the jig if not using the rotisserie.
- easy assembly: tab and slot construction with no measuring required

What else you’ll have to get:
1) 2x2x1/8 wall (or better 3/16 wall) in the following sizes 4 @ 16”, 2 @ 23-5/8”, 1 @ 81-7/8”. Shipped from middle America to East coast I paid $185 shipped for the tubes for my prototype thru Midwest Steel Supply. You may save money by using a local metal supplier.
2) Caster wheels/leveling feet. Technically you could use nothing, but not recommended. If you want to add some type of wheel or leveling foot, any 1/2” threaded stem caster or leveling foot or even just a 1/2" bolt can be used. Minimum caster height 3.25”.
Optional accessories purchased elsewhere:
1) Height adjustment rams. Available from harbor freight (60 dollars each as of May 2023) these simplify the height adjustment process and can be added at any time. LINK
2) Crank angle adjust. Using components from a harbor freight worm gear winch, add the ability to crank your frame jig to any angle without having to struggle to align a locking pin. (35 dollars as of May 2023) LINK
3) Table top work surface. I recommend a 1.5” x 25” x 74” butcher block from Lowes/Home Depot , but you can use anything you want here. A sheet of plywood, some scrap aluminum, whatever.
